These pieces are made entirely out of wood, even the paper, mattes, nails, wire. Using trompe-l'œil the material, skill and technical proficiency go unnoticed or dismissed by the banality of the subject matter. These works represent an unrequited devotion for the materials and/or process. Often the simplest things in our world such as paper are often the most interesting both formally and/or conceptually.
