New Jersey Toll Plaza
2009, Institute of Visual Arts (INOVA)
Milwaukee, WI
wood, vinyl

The toll plaza is a bit like seining for minnows. One lane is divided into many to sift out a little money and then the people are returned to go about their business. It is the simplest and most effective form of order and control of people, surely it must make any tax collector ecstatic.
